Looking Backwards
Looking Backwards is a virtual gallery on Secondsight revisiting some of the contemporary artists that have exhibited in Macclesfield over the last decade through Barnaby Festival.
Artists including Zarah Hussain, Simon Buckley, Liz West, Bedwyr Williams, Hilary Jack, Hondartza Fraga and Owl Project have all created new work – inspired by the themes of the festival and by the heritage of the town, such as the silk industry and the nearby Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Looking Backwards is an opportunity to revisit this work and get some insight from the artists on the inspiration behind the work and their processes.
