What is Second Sight?
Second Sight is an online arts centre brought to you by Barnaby Festival, in partnership with arts organisation and innovation lab FutureEverything and artists living and working in Macclesfield.
Second Sight is a virtual gallery experience curated to present a programme of visual arts showcasing the work of creative communities in Macclesfield. It is for you to enjoy and find inspiration in the work.
There are three galleries within Second Sight for you to explore and discover more about the artists and their creative processes. You can take a look behind the scenes at artists’ studios as well as discovering new work.
One of the galleries is curated to a theme where artists respond with their work and talk about their creative practice. The first exhibition in this gallery is Seeing Differently.
Looking Forwards is a virtual gallery where the creative partners that Barnaby Festival works with, can present new work. It features exclusive content and previews.
Looking Backwards, the third online gallery, revisits and reflects on some of the contemporary artists who have responded to Macclesfield’s heritage and the themes of the biannual Barnaby Festival.
